PERSONNEL

All projects undertaken by SEA are managed by David Wiltshire, who is one of South Australia's most experienced environmental consultants. SEA assembles teams of sub-consultants whose skills and experience are appropriate to the requirements of each project. Key personnel are listed below.
David Wiltshire (Director)

David Wiltshire has been the owner and Director of SEA since 1991. David is an ecologist / environmental scientist with over 30 years’ experience providing environmental consulting services to industry and government throughout Australia. David has undertaken a diverse range of consulting assignments associated with shipping terminals, smelters, desalination plants, marinas and power stations for clients such as Santos, BHP Billiton, OneSteel, Nyrstar, SA Water and the EPA. He has also undertaken many consulting assignments for the oil and gas industry (principally Santos) in the arid zones of South Australia and Queensland. Projects have included the environmental management of seismic exploration, pipeline construction, waste water disposal, oil and gas well operations and relinquishment audits. David is also a very experienced diver and underwater photographer.

Bob Baldock (Associate)

Bob Baldock is an Associate of the South Australian Herbarium, and former lecturer in marine biology at the University of South Austalia. As one of the state's foremost experts on marine algae, Bob provides SEA with advice on marine algae and taxonomy.

 

Emma Cronin (Associate) 

Emma Cronin undertook her PhD on the Australian Giant Cuttlefish. She has regularly assisted SEA with diving, marine surveys, document production and general research over the last decade.

 

Tony Bramley (Commercial Diving Contractor)

Tony Bramley of Whyalla Diving Services has provided SEA with logistical support, including boats, coxswains, diving equipment and divers, for most of our marine projects. 

 

Joe Mifsud (Associate)

SEA has collaborated with Joe Mifsud and the marine scientists from Cooe Pty Lld on a variety of projects in South Australia over the last 15 years, including for Santos at Port Bonython, for Zinifex / Nyrstar at Port Pirie and BHP Billiton at Olympic Dam and in Spencer Gulf. In particular, Joe Mifsud provides SEA with expert advice on marine water and sediment quality issues (www.cooe.com.au).

 

Graham Carpenter (Associate)

Graham Carpenter is one of South Australia's leading ornithologists and botanists. He has provided SEA with expert advice on issues associated with native vegetation and fauna for over 20 years. Graham has generally assisted SEA in the assessment of impacts associated with the clearance of native vegetation and habitat for transmission lines and gas pipelines, and the development of windfarms.

James Brook (Associate)

James Brook has assisted SEA on many marine projects over the last 12 years with diving, marine surveys and monitoring, statistical analysis, research and report writing. James is a very experiened diver and one of South Australia's leading marine ecologists.​ A former coordinator of Reef Watch in South Australia, James is highly skilled in marine taxonomy.
